What our content is based on
DSM-5-TR personality concepts
The ten personality disorders and their three clusters follow the American Psychiatric Association's DSM-5-TR. We translate the clinical descriptions into everyday behaviors you might notice.
Relationship psychology
Green flags and healthy-relationship content draw on widely published relationship research, such as work on accountability, repair after conflict, and respect for boundaries.
Behavioral analysis principles
The Behavior Profiling page summarizes publicly available books, interviews, and research by well-known profilers. Those experts aren't affiliated with WiseGuide.
How the quiz scores
Each red flag question is linked to one personality pattern. Answers count Never as 0, Sometimes as 1, and Often as 2, and each pattern's score is shown as a percentage of its maximum. Green flag questions are scored separately.
Limitations
The Compass Quiz is not a validated clinical instrument. It relies on one person's observations, which can be incomplete or biased. It cannot diagnose anyone. Only a qualified professional can do that.
